A Taste of Culture Comes to Huntingdon Valley Library
The Friends of the HV Library will host the first of a four-part installment involving cultural events tonight, Thurs. May 17 at 7 p.m.

The Huntingdon Valley Library will host its first "A Taste of Culture" event on Thursday, May 17 starting at 7 p.m.
Help celebrate our multi-cultural community with fabulous food, recipes, music, and a travelog. Tonight marks the first of four planned MULTI-CULTURAL events.Β Residents will get to take a look at Eastern Europeans that have become part of our community in the first series.
The cost is $10, and that will include the meal which was donated and prepared by Uzbekestan Restaurant, who are also providing their staff and festive lights and wonderfully celebratory music.

You can be serenaded by Roma Buckhorn and her bandura, the national instrument of Ukraine. Dessert and tea will be served while a travelog is shown of Eastern Europe. The Ukranian Cultural Center has prepared hand crafts to display and purchase, and the Huntingdon Valley Library will provide appropriate books and DVD's.
