Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz Receives Federal Public Official Of Year Award
U.S. Representative for Montgomery County honored by Pennsylvania Bio

Pennsylvania Bio, an organization representing the state's biosciences company, presented its Federal Pbulic Official of the Year award to U.S. Representative Allyson Schwartz (District 13).
Schwartz, who has been very passionate about promoting and growing biotechnology in Pennsylvania, was rewarded for her tireless efforts in the $1 billion Therapetuic Discovery tax credit program.
βCongresswoman Schwartz is a national leader in developing and championing public policies that promote the continued success of Americaβs life sciences sector,β said Jim Greenwood, President and CEO of Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) said in a statement.Β "We particularly applaud Representative Schwartzβs leadership on the Therapeutic Discovery Project Program, which provided much-needed capital to small biotech companies working on promising research.Β We congratulate her on this well-deserved award.β
