LOWER MORELAND, PA — Local police say they arrested a couple after being dispatched to the Wawa on Philmont Avenue for a report of individuals inside the bathroom for an extended period of time, and a search of the area ultimately turned up used syringes.

Police say a complaint had been made about a couple inside the bathroom at the Wawa at 2500 Philmont Avenue in Lower Moreland Township on March 18 for an unusually long time period.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers say they found syringes on the floor of the inside of the bathroom.

Officers furthered discovered that the couple, identified as Jesse Yorgey and Stacey Tejada, who had been exiting the store at the time police arrived, and who matched a caller's description, had outstanding warrants from other Montgomery County police agencies.

Police arrested both of the individuals and charged them each with drug counts, according to the Lower Moreland Township Police Department.

Police also said that while conducting a search of the defendants, officers found Yorgey to be in possession of drugs, drug paraphernalia and credit cards with unknown names that did not belong to Yorgey.

A search of state court records shows that both Yorgey and Tejada also have similar pending and past drug charges in other jurisdictions in Montgomery County.
