Drunk Visitors Asked to Leave Manor Care After Dancing with Patients

The following information was supplied by the Lower Moreland Police Department.

On January 16, the Lower Moreland Police Department responded to Manor Care Health Services, 3430 Huntingdon Pike, after a complaint was made about two drunk visitors who were supposed to be visiting their mother who is a patient there. The subjects were identified as Kathleen Shiepe, 54, Robert Shiepe, 57, both of Philadelphia. According to the report, both subjects had slurred speech and were asked to leave the facility by an administrator.

According to the report, their mother was in the beauty salon at Manor Care and the two siblings were seen dancing with other residents in the hallway while waiting for her. They also removed their facemasks after they were told not to, which every visitor has been required to wear to help prevent flu outbreak.

The two were escorted out and did not understand why they had to leave. Both had a strong smell of alcohol on their breath and swayed as they walked, according to the report. They waited for their cousin to come pick them up, who had just dropped them off at the facility. Kathleen had a BAC of .158%; Robert .147%.
