FBI Seeks Help in Identifying Man Suspected of Sexually Exploiting Child

The FBI is seeking the publicβs help in identifying a manΒ suspected of sexually exploiting a child.Β
Images and videos of the manβidentified by the FBI only asΒ "John Doe 27"βengaging in sex actsΒ with a child were first discovered by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in April 2013.Β
The imagesΒ are still being circulated in numerous child pornography forums across the Internet, according to the FBI.ΒInvestigators for the FBI andΒ National Center for Missing and Exploited ChildrenΒ have successfully enhanced a number of photos depictingΒ the man,Β and investigators believe there are several clues that could help identify him. For example, images depict the man and the victim inside a residence with a distinct plaid chair; male pattern baldness on the back of the subjectβs head; and a ring on the subjectβs right ring finger.Β Based on audio that can be heard on the video, it is believed that the man may have referred to himself as βJimmy.β

He appears to beΒ a white male, possibly in hisΒ 40sΒ or 50s, with dark hair and dark eyes.Β

The FBI reminds theΒ public that no charges have been filed in this case, and the man picturedΒ is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.Β
He is being sought as part of the FBIβs OperationΒ Rescue Me and Endangered Child Alert Program (ECAP) initiatives, both of which represent strategic partnerships between the FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.Β
Operation Rescue Me focuses on using clues obtained through in-depth image analysis to identify the child victims depicted in child exploitation material, whileΒ ECAPΒ seeks national and international media exposure of unidentified adults (referred to as John/Jane Doe) who visibly display their faces and/or other distinguishing characteristicsΒ in association with child pornography images.
