Huntingdon Valley Fire Personnel Will Host Fire Prevention Open House On October 9

HUNTINGDON VALLEY, PA — Community members are invited to come out next weekend to learn some of the latest in fire prevention techniques during an annual program and presentation put on by local volunteer fire officials.

The Huntingdon Valley Fire Company and the Bryn Athyn Fire Company in eastern Montgomery County will be jointly hosting a fire prevention open house Oct. 9 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the headquarters of the Huntingdon Valley Fire Co., located at 636 Red Lion Road.

The event, which takes place each year, will come complete with a variety of programs and activities.

There will be safety demonstrations by fire personnel, demonstrations by search and rescue dogs, vehicle rescue and emergency medical services demonstrations, lessons on how to use a firehose, a zip line, interactive activities for children, along with food, prizes and more.
