A Driver Involved In A Lower Moreland Hit-And-Run Faces Charges After Turning Himself In
Darren T. Baugh, 29, of Philadelphia, turned himself in to Lower Moreland Police Tuesday. He was wanted on a hit-and-run warrant.
LOWER MORELAND, PA β A Philadelphia man is being charged in Montgomery County in connection with a hit-and-run incident that occurred last month.
Darren T. Baugh, of Philadelphia's Ogontz neighborhood, turned himself in to Lower Moreland police on Tuesday after a warrant had been issued for his arrest in connection with an incident in which officers say he fled the scene of an accident in late September.
According to a Lower Moreland Police Department report, officers had been flagged down by a motorist who needed assistance with an accident on County Line Road back on Sept. 24.

Police say that Baugh had fled the scene after briefly speaking with the victim following the vehicle accident.
Baugh is being charged with one count of accidents involving personal injury and one count of accident involving damage to attended vehicle, as well as an additional summary offense of following too closely, according to a criminal docket sheet in the case.

Court records show that after he turned himself in, Baugh was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Jay S. Friedenberg.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Nov. 24.
