Hundreds of Dollars Stolen from 102-Year-Old Woman
An elderly resident living at Gloria Dei Towers called LMPD to report the theft of $753.
Anna Juvan is 102-years-old, but she's still capable of balancing her own checkbook.
Juvan, who lives by herself in an apartment at Gloria Dei Towers, 753 Welsh Rd., called the Lower Moreland Police Department on May 8 after she noticed that $53 was missing from her personally kept bankroll. She told police that last week $700 was taken from her apartment, but did not report it at the time.
According to the report, Juvan keeps cash in several bank envelopes wrapped together with a rubber band inside a larger envelope in her apartment. Most of the cash she keeps is winnings from small gambling events at Gloria Dei.

That's a lot of Bingo money. The Gloria Dei web site also lists Pinochle and 50/50 drawings as events for residents to participate in.
Juvan also keeps an updated balance every time she deposits more money. Police say her apartment and drawers were extremely well kept and organized.

No person has a key to the apartment except Juvan and the office staff. Juvan does, however, use a cleaning service every two weeks. She stated that she is always home when the cleaning service comes, but noticed the last time that the person took longer than usual to clean her bedroom. Juvan said the cleaning company, Arbor Cleaning Services, has been routinely sending the same person, Irma, who was described as a Mexican, younger, female.
The cleaning service isnβt scheduled to come back until May 21. For the time being, Juvan was advised to keep her money on her if any person is scheduled to come inside her house.
