LM Baseball Falls To Devon Prep; Tuesday's Games Postponed

After getting out to a three-run lead in the first three innings Monday, Lower Moreland let its lead slip away as Devon Prep stormed back to take a 14-6 win at LMHS.

The loss snaps a two-game winning streak for Lower Moreland and brings the Lions back to .500 at 2-2.

Devon Prep tied the score at 3-3 plating three runs in the top of the fourth inning. Lower Moreland was able to quickly recapture its lead by scoring once in the bottom of the fourth, but a five-run fifth from Devon Prep broke the game wide open.

LM gave up six more runs in the seventh inning, ending any hopes of a comeback bid.

Jared Licht went 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored, an RBI and two steals. Frank Gleason went 2-for-3 with a double, run scored and one stolen base. Ross Goodman finished 2-for-3 with a double, run scored and he also drove in a run.

The baseball team is back in action Tuesday at home against Morrisville at 3:45. But judging by the weather, it looks like this game has a good chance of being rained out, just like most of the other LM sporting events have been to kick off the spring season.
