Lower Moreland Administrators Give Back at Pennypack

Officials of LMTSD recently donated their time to help clean up at Pennypack Trust.

The following information was supplied by Christine Trioli:

This year the annual leadership team retreat for the administrators of the Lower Moreland Township School District looked quite different than years before.

The administrative team, while planning this year’s annual team retreat, decided that this year they wanted to give back and offer their service locally. As a result, the administrators spent the day clearing vines and weeds from recently planted trees in Pennypack Trust. The team worked together to insure that the trees will grow to maturity and create a newly shaded area in an area that once housed formal gardens maintained by the former owners of the land.

Mr. Brad Nyholm, Stewardship Director, for Pennypack Trust hopes that one day when the trees fill the space, a new garden can be recreated to adorn the area.  The administrative team’s work will help to insure that the trees, right now in their infancy, will grow and thrive in an area enjoyed by so many in our community and beyond.

The team relished participating in this project so much that they plan to return next year to offer service to the trust.
