Kostka will also have to register with authorities as a sexual offender in Pennsylvania.
According to an article in the Mercury newspaper of Pottstown, the investigation into Kostka's activities began back in March 2020 when law enforcement received a cyber tip from the social media company Snapchat about a file uploaded to the site that purported to contain child pornography.
The file, according to the newspaper account, seemed to depict two girls around 10 years old who were engaged in sexual acts or poses.
After obtaining a search warrant, the Mercury reported, investigators seized electronic items from Kostka's home and ultimately determined that the devices contained 128 still images and six videos that depicted child pornography.
