According to the Mercury newspaper of Pottstown, a victim had called Philadelphia police to say that a man had carjacked him at gunpoint back on Oct. 10, 2020.
Philadelphia and Lower Moreland Police subsequently launched a joint investigation, which ultimately led to Washington as the suspect after the stolen vehicle had been tracked to Washington's Lower Moreland Township home.
