Lower Moreland Reporting Good Early Voter Turnout

The voter turnout in Lower Moreland has already surpassed some expectations, and that was only at lunchtime.

But to a man, each candidate and polling officials say the weather has a great deal to do with the good showing.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better day,” said Jerry Vanartsdalen, Democratic candidate for Ward 3. “We’ve been out here all morning and we’ll be here all night. It was raining the day of the primary election, but the sun’s been out all day here. I think that makes a difference.”

The difference has shown.

All six locations have already passed the total for the primary (which is expected) within a couple of hours, but with plenty of time until the polls officially close (8 p.m.), the candidates at each location expect the numbers to continue to rise.
