News outlets report that William Tomas Torres, 63, intentionally fired two shots into the torso of Jeanne Edwards, 57, in 2019, killing her.
LOWER MORELAND, PA β A Montgomery County jury didn't buy a story by William Tomas Torres that he meant to commit suicide, and that he accidentally killed his then-girlfriend, Jeanne Edwards, in November 2019, when he fired two shots from a pump-action shotgun into her torso inside of her home.
Torres, who was on trial this week charged with first-degree murder in the 57-year-old Lower Moreland woman's death, was found guilty by a jury on Wednesday, according to local news reports.
The Pottstown Mercury reports that the jury deliberated for 90 minutes before finding Torres, of Elkton, Md., guilty of killing Edwards, with whom he had been romantically involved.
