New Neighborhood Coming to Lower Moreland?

The township received a sketch plan for 54 single family homes over 47.8 acres of land.

The Lower Moreland Board of Commissioners will meet Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building to review two sketch plans it recently received.

The first Community Development item to be discussed will be the property that was formerly the Island Green Golf Course. A developer has submitted a sketch plan that calls for 54 homes to be built over the 47.8 acres of land.

  • LD 12-07: JERC/Red Lion & Pine Roads - The Township has received a sketch plan for 47.8 acres of land on the corner of Pine and Red Lion Roads. The applicant proposes to construct 54 single family detached units in a cluster designed subdivision.
  • LD 12-08: Prime Builders/Pine Road - The Township has received a final plan for 1.96 acres of land on the corner of Byberry and Pine Roads. The application includes the existing home located at 3491 Pine Road, which will remain, and the construction of two new home son the two adjacent Byberry Road parcels. This subdivision had already been approved in the 1970s and the applicant is seeking to address the public improvements needed for the development.

The township will be reviewing these sketch plans and a decision on both of these items Tuesday night is unlikely.
