Police Arrest Driver For Impairment After Methadone Clinic Visit
A driver who police say was impaired after visiting a methadone clinic was arrested for his part in a three-vehicle accident in mid-June.
LOWER MORELAND, PA β Lower Moreland Township Police have announced the arrest of a man earlier this summer who was involved in a three-vehicle accident and subsequently tested positive for drug substances after returning from a methadone clinic.
On June 15, officers with the Lower Moreland Police Department arrested Michael P. Krysztoforski, 64, after they were dispatched to a three-vehicle accident scene at 2755 Philmont Avenue around 11:30 in the morning, according to a police report.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that two out of the three vehicles involved were situated off of the roadway, while the third vehicle, the one drive by by Krysztoforski, was sitting in the road.

Police said Krysztoforski, who was having trouble putting his vehicle in neutral in order to push it off the roadway, had been in possession of drug paraphernalia at the time of the accident and upon further investigation, police determined that Krysztoforski had been impaired at the time of the accident and that he had recently visited a methadone clinic.
Krysztoforski was charged with driving under the influence of metabolites of a controlled substance; driving under the influence of drug or combination of drugs; and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.
