Police Log: Juvenile Driver Crashes, Missing Diamond Ring, Theft
The following incidents were reported by the Lower Moreland Police Department.

March 27 – Theft
- 900 block of Carriage Lane
David Wedell, 53, of Huntingdon Valley, reported that an unknown actor(s) entered three of his cars sometime overnight. Wedell returned home at midnight and discovered that someone had rifled through the glove compartments of the unlocked cars. The only item determined to be missing was an iPod Nano ($120).

- 100 block of Pheasant Lane
LMPD received a call for suspicious activity involving a gold SUV that was operating on a flat tire. It was reported that the occupants in the car jumped out of the vehicle and ran into the woods in the area of Levy Lane towards County Line Road.
When police arrived, they found a juvenile sitting in the driver’s seat. Through investigation it was revealed that the kids - 14-years-old; 16-years-old; 17-years-old - were involved in a minor accident on Pheasant Lane where they destroyed a resident’s mailbox and retaining wall. The accident also caused a flat tire on the front passenger side of the SUV and also did damange to the side mirror. According to the report, the kids were nervous about the accident and fled the scene without reporting it.

Police finally made contact with the kids who ran off into the woods. It was revealed that the 14-year-old was driving the car at the time of the accident, and two other males eventually came back to the scene to talk to police. The juvenile who was driving the car was cited for violating PA Vehicle codes, Driver’s required to be licensed, Careless Driving, Accidents involving damage to unattended property. The car was registered to the juvenile’s dad, who was cited for violating PA Vehicle Codes and permitting an unauthorized person to drive.
March 21 – Lost Articles
- Manor Health Care – 3430 Huntingdon Pike
Milliscent Anyabolu, 29, of Philadelphia, called LMPD to report that her engagement ring went missing. Anyabolu is the Director of Care Delivery at Manor Health Care and told police that she took her ring off at 8:30 a.m when she began to make her rounds. She reported that she placed the ring in her left pocket because she washes her hands frequently while she is making her rounds in the building. She noticed the ring was missing at about 5:30 p.m. The ring – white gold with multiple diamonds along each side - is insured and is worth about $3,000.
