An LMPD officer responded to Lieberman Dr. at 2:39 p.m. behind the Huntingdon Valley Post Office to meet with the Department of Public Works employees who had discovered a plastic bag containing syringes while doing work on sewers. The officer saw a clear plastic zip top baggie containing three old, large syringes. All three syringes had needled attached with safety caps. They were 50 mL, 8.4% Sodium Bicarbonate Injection, USP.

An Internet check revealed these syringes are used mainly by medical facilities in the treatment of severe renal disease and other acute medical problems. December 26 – Burglary – Forced Entry

  • 3500 block of Corn Crib

Police responded to a burglary in process at 3:43 p.m. at the home of Debra Tsarfati, 56, of Huntingdon Valley. Tsarfati pulled up to her driveway and saw a blue sedan in her driveway. When she approached the car, she saw a male sitting on a cell phone in the driver’s seat. Moments later she saw two males walk out from behind her house towards the car. Tsarfati was asking the male driver questions and one of the males who walked up from behind the house said, “It’s an investigation.”

The two males got in the sedan and drove off through Albidale. The male who spoke to Tsarfati was described as a white male in his early 30’s. She said he was holding something in his right hand, which she feared was a gun.

After the males left her property, Tsarfati inspected the back of her house and found the rear door had the glass smashed in by an orange/tan landscaping type of rock. Ransacking was evident in each room of the house, and her bedroom TV had been removed from the bedroom and left on the kitchen floor. A DVD player had been removed from the dining room area and left on the couch in the living room. Jewelry boxes and containers in all three second-floor bedrooms and been dumped open.

Tire marks were left by the actor’s car on the rear lawn and police also collected cigarette butts that were left behind as evidence.
