Police Log: Criminal Mischief, Public Drunkenness and Physical Threats
The following incidents were reported by the Lower Moreland Police Department.
Sept. 5 – Violation of Protective Order
- 3900 block of Martin Rd.
Officers responded to a complaint that someone came to the house on Martin St. asking for money. Orest Hryhorchuk, 58, said this his son Andrew, 21, whom he has a PFA against, called the house earlier asking for for $67 for congestion medicine. Orest told Andrew he would get him the medicine, but would not give him money to go out and buy it because he thought he could use they money for drugs.
Orest then said a little while later, he was outside washing his car when a dark blue BMW pulled up to the house and the driver began looking in the mailbox. The driver pulled into the driveway and told Orest they were there to pick up $50 that was supposed to be left for him. Orest told the driver he didn’t know what he was talking about the driver responded, “We are going to hurt your son.”

The driver was a white male with short black hair, and the passenger was also a white male with short black hair. A criminal complaint will be filed.

- AJAX Electric – 60 Tomlinson Rd.
Police found a while male lying on the ground near a tree on the front lawn of AJAX Electric. The male appeared to be sleeping. As police approached the subject, it saw the male’s genitals hanging out of the zipper of his shorts. When he woke up, police identified him as John Fenton, 45, of Philadelphia.
Fenton said he last remembers walking home from Oh Bryon’s! and he could have passed out while trying to go to the bathroom. He registered a 0.131% BAC and will be cited for public drunkenness.
Sept. 4 – Disturbances
- 2800 block of Pine Rd.
Quindara Brown, 25, called police to Nijah Development, 2840 Pine Rd., because of a dispute with her boss, Shamecca Holloway, 27. Brown arrived to work to prepare for her first client. Holloway instructed Brown to leave the office and return when her clients arrived. Brown believed this to be unfair and wanted to stay in the office until her clients arrived. Holloway once again told Brown to leave and Brown discovered that her time card was already “clocked out” and lying on the floor.
Holloway spoke to police and reiterated the similar story. Holloway told police that Brown is now being fired. Brown was advised not to return to the business and if she fails to comply, she may be charged with trespassing.
Sept. 4 – Lost and Found
- 300 block of County Line Rd.
Erin Whittle, 35, reported that a bike was left in her driveway overnight. The bike was a BMX style bike painted grey and had no other markings. The bike was brought to LMPD and will be stored in the garage. If this matches a description of a missing bike, please contact the police station.
Sept. 1 - Public Drunkenness
- Area of Chestnut St.
Francis Quinn, 59, was cited for public drunkenness after an officer discovered him walking outside of a maroon GMC van parked in the cul de sac in Huntingdon Valley. An officer saw Quinn walking outside of his car with a cup in his hand. Once the officer activated his car lights, Quinn walked out of site and dropped the cup.
The officer approached Quinn and noticed he spoke with a thick tongue, nearly fell twice while standing and a strong odor of alcohol was detected on his breath. Quinn said he did not intend to drive the van and the police drove him back to his residence.
Aug. 31 – Criminal Mischief
- Lower Moreland Park – Albidale
Graffiti was discovered on the basketball court and it was reported the damage was done sometime on the dates of Aug. 26-29. There was red and blue spray paint on the surface of the court, outlining the lines on the court and used the paint to cover the basketball post and backboard. The following words were painted on the court: “SM,” “STAY GO UP,” “F*CK LMPD,” and “ASTER,.”
Police found two “Eco-stripe” brand spray paint bottles at the court.
