Police Log: DUI From Methadone Clinic, Theft and Criminal Mischief

November 16 β DUI
- Area of Philmont & Byberry Rd.
Jason Garnett, 42, of Langhorne, was pulled over after going through a red light on Philmont Ave. Officers detected the smell of alcohol on his breath, his eyes were glassy and his speech was slurred.

Garnett admitted to drinking one beer at Bethayres Tavern. A PBT was administered with a result of .089%.
November 15 β Theft

- 3300 block of Woodland Circle
Yevgeniya Shteinberg, 20, of Huntingdon Valley, reported that numerous items were stolen from her 2006 Nissan Murano that was parked on the street in front of her home. The following items were reported as missing:
Black nylon Jansport bag ($35); School text books ($150); Apple iPod ($200); Apple iTouch ($250); Prescription bottle ($40); Key ring containing house/car keys ($50).
November 15 β Theft
- 2500 block of Hallowell Rd.
Stanley Solski, 39, of Huntingdon Valley, reported that items had been stolen from his detached garage. Solski told police that he left the key to the garage in the garage door, and figured he simply misplaced it. The items missing include:
Craftsman Leaf blower ($150); Toro Leaf blower ($150); Baja SS Radio controlled car ($1,200); TraxSS Radio Controlled Car ($600); John Deere Generator ($800); Cordless nail gun ($400); Refrigerant reclaim unit ($450); Bench grinder ($60).
November 13 β Criminal Mischief
- 2600 block of Philmont Ave.
Police discovered graffiti markings on the overheard garage doors on the northeast side of the building at 2693 Philmont Ave. The word βSWAGβ was written in white lettering and the word βDANKβ appeared in black, block lettering.
2755 Philmont Ave. β Graffiti sprayed with the words βSWAG,β and βDANKβ on the rear wall of the building.
2655 Philmont Ave. β Graffiti sprayed with the words βDAZEβ and βDANKβ in white block letters on the rear wall of the building.
2381 Philmont Ave. β Graffiti sprayed with the words βDANK,β and βSWAGβ on an overheard garage door.
November 12 β Theft
- Philmont Country Club
John Gillerlain, 56, of Hatboro, is accused of stealing two registration plates from cars at Philmont Country Club. Police responded to a call from Joseph Stevens, 39, who said his registration plate was missing and he found it attached to another vehicle.
When approached by police, Gillerlain told them he knew why they were there, and he was stupid and took the registration from Stevensβ car, according to police reports. He said he had not seen Stevensβ car move in a long time and thought nobody would notice. Gillerlain said he had not been able to get his car registered because his license had been suspended for years and he has been driving around hoping not to get caught.
Police also found another registration plate on Gillerlainβs front passenger seat. He said it belonged to a friend who let him borrow it. When police made contact with the friend, he said he had not been aware that Gillerlain had his registration plate but did not wish to press charges. Gillerlain will be charged with theft of Stevensβ registration and related traffic offenses.
November 10 β DUI
- Area of Huntingdon Pike and Buck Rd.
Melissa Forbes, 30, of Churchville, has a DUI charge pending after she was reported for reckless driving. She was seen veering off the roadway and driving on cement medians and curbs starting in Rockledge to Lower Moreland.
Officers reported she had slurred speech once they stopped her. When asked where Forbes was coming from, she said, βMethadone Clinicβ on York Rd. in Philadelphia. She was given field sobriety checks, and according to police, Forbes was under the influence of controlled substances.
