Police Log: June 19

The following incidents were reported by the Lower Moreland Police Department

June 14 – DUI

  • Area of Huntingdon Pike

William Bollendorf, 45, of the unit block of Hart Street, Warminster, was pulled over 2:34 a.m. on Huntingdon Pike after police observed him make a right turn at Spur Road without stopping at a stop sign in a grey Toyota Celica.

After detecting the odor of alcohol, a preliminary breath test resulted in a 0.11 percent BAC, police said. He was transported to Abington Memorial Hospital for blood testing. Bollendorf also admitted to prior DUIs in New Jersey in April and Bensalem in May, police said.

June 12 – DUI

  • 3200 block of Pine Rd.

Police responded to a one-vehicle accident in the 3200 block of Pine Rd., where a car struck a fire hydrant. Upon arrival, police found a Nissan Sentra off the roadway. The driver was identified as Richard Blake Thomas of the 2900 block of Cherry Lane, Bryn Athyn, police said.

According to police, Thomas appeared lethargic and staggering around, and could not tell police what happened. Police said Thomas admitted to being on pain killers and muscle relaxers. He also said he smoked marijuana prior to driving, police said.

June 12 – DUI

  • Pine Rd. & Red Lion Rd.

Police responded to Pine and Red Lion roads for a vehicle accident at 12:53 a.m., where a Mazda 3 was stopped sideways in the road blocking the south bound lane of Pine Rd. Police determined that Christopher Charlemagne, 22, of the 13600 block of Philmont Ave., Philadelphia, was the driver of the vehicle. He was taken to Abington Memorial Hospital to treat injuries and draw blood. DUI charges are pending lab results, police said.

June 12 – Harrassment by Communication

  • 3600 block of Edencroft Rd.

At 12:31 p.m., a resident of the 3600 block of Edencroft Road, reported receiving unwanted phone calls and derogatory text messages. The victim believed it was the friend of her ex-boyfriend, who allegedly continued several more phone calls and text messages, police said. Police contacted the suspect and advised him to stop calling and texting the victim, police said.

June 9 – Drug Possession

  • Area of Pine Rd.

Police pulled over Valeh Aliyev of the 600 block of Parlin St. at 8:54 p.m. after observing the black 2010 Chevrolet Camaro cross the double yellow lines on Pine Rd.

According to police, Aliyev smelled of marijuana and was not wearing a seat belt. Aliyev admitted to having marijuana in the vehicle. Police said Aliyev did not appear to be under the influence, but will be charged with driving without headlights, lane violations, seatbelt law as well as two non-traffic citations for disorderly conduct for marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia, police said.

June 9 – Theft

  • 3800 block of Loop Rd.

A resident of the 3800 block of Loop Rd. reported that someone entered her Toyota Corolla and stole a file bag from the rear seat sometime between June 7-9.

June 8 – Fraud

At 11:11 a.m., a victim reported that someone attempted to take out a $5,400 cash advance using a Sears Mastercard. The bank denied the transaction and contacted the victim about the incident. When she attempted to receive a new card, she learned that someone attempted to change the address and email listings on her account.

June 8 – DUI

  • Area of Terwood Rd.

Police responded to a disabled vehicle on Terwood Road at 2:53 a.m., near Inverness Lane. Ross Udell, 28, of the 200 block of Wooded Lane, Ambler, was sitting in his orange Volvo with the hazard lights on. Udell told police a deer jumped out in front of the car and the car would no longer start. 

Police said Udell was visibly intoxicated and was speaking erratically. He failed field sobriety testing and was arrested on charges of DUI, police said.
