The following incidents were reported by the Lower Moreland Police Department

May 26 β Theft
- 143 Tomlinson Rd., Comfort Control Corp.
Catalytic converters were reported stolen from two vehicles parked at Comfort Control Corp, 143 Tomlinson Rd., according to police, who also added it will cost $500 to replace the converters.
May 25 β Assault
- 1500 block of Heaton Rd.
An unknown man assaulted a resident of the 1500 block of Heaton Hill Road around 9 p.m.
According to police, the resident came home and his wife told him someone was in the back yard. Once he heard noise in the yard, he followed a man to a pickup truck parked near his home. The resident grabbed the man from behind, but the man turned around and pushed him to the ground before speeding away in his truck.

May 24 β Theft
- 1000 block of George Lane
A resident in the 1000 block of George Lane reported that a metal shepherdβs planter hook and plant from the front lawn next to the mailbox had been stolen sometime between 9:30-11:30 a.m.

May 24 β PDA violation
Sally Helene Zibelman, of the 500 block of Carson Terrace, was charged with violating a protection from abuse order while getting into a domestic dispute May 24 at 9:30 a.m. at the victimβs work place, police said.
She was taken to the police station and charged with indirect criminal contempt and taken to the Montgomery County Sheriffβs Department for outstanding warrants, police said.
May 23 β Thefts
- 1400 Byberry Rd., Brickman Group
Multiple pieces of landscaping equipment were taken from trailers parked at the Brickman Group sometime between 8 p.m. May 23 and 6 a.m. May 24.
Items stolen include: Exmark Lazer riding mower, Exmark turf tracer walk-behind mower, three Red Max leaf blowers and four Shindaiwa weed eaters. The total value of the items stolen was $17,000, according to police.
May 23 β DUI
- 3215 Philmont Ave.
Rohan Dawes, of the 1700 block of Rockwell Rd. in Abington, struck a utility pole and retaining wall at 3215 Philmont Ave. at 10:20 p.m.
Upon arrival, police spoke with the driver, who said he fell asleep while driving northbound on Philmont Ave. and woke up after he struck the pole, police said.
The driver stated he drank two pints of beer prior to driving from his home, police said. Dawes submitted to a preliminary breath test, which registered a 0.052 percent BAC, police said. Police then submitted field sobriety tests, which he failed and was charged with DUI.
May 22 β Vehicle damaged
- 1500 block of Rhoades Drive
A resident in the 1500 block of Rhoades Drive had derogatory languaged spray painted on the side doors of his cars sometime on May 22. The car, a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix, was parked in front of his home between between 10-10:30 p.m. The paint was a redish/pink color.
The owner said he knew of no one who would do that to his car.
May 23 β Vehicle damaged
- 3700 Albidale Drive
Police responded to a residence in the 3700 block of Albidale Drive at 7 a.m. for a report that someone may have used a baseball bat to shatter the windshield of his 2010 Ford Fusion.
May 22 β Vehicle damaged
- 3600 block of Albidale Drive
A resident of the 3600 block of Albidale Drive found his vehicle had been broken into sometime in the early morning hours of May 22. The driverβs side front window was broken, but it appeared entry was not gained.
May 20 β DUI/accident
- 490 County Line Rd.
Gary Gregory, 49, of 835 Barlow St., Philadelphia, was charged with DUI at 6:54 a.m. after getting into an accident with another car, near 490 County Line Road, police said.
Upon arrival on the scene, police observed the driver's speech to be slurred, swaying on his feet and had difficultly explaining what had happened, police said. He was given field sobriety tests, which he failed, police said. Prior to the test, Gregory admitted to taking one or two Percocets before driving, police said.
