- Philmont Train Station
Witnesses saw a 15-year-old male and 14-year-old female trying to open door handles of parked cars at the Philmont Train Station. Further information was received by LMPD and saw the subjects last on Rennard St.
When police and backup arrived at Rennard St. to speak with the juveniles, a pat down check revealed a TomTom GPS system on the male. At first he said it belonged to his mother, but later admitted he took it from a car at the train station.
Both kids were eventually released to their mothers and read their Constitutional Rights. The male admitted he was the one who opened the majority of the cars. The female will be recommended to a Youth Aid Panel while the male will be charged with theft from a motor vehicle.
