The following was reported by the Lower Moreland Police Department.

February 21 β DUI
Area of Pine & Red Lion roads
Nancy Marcanio, 42, of Rockledge, was arrested for DUI at 10:46 p.m. Police observed two open Blue Moon beer bottles in the rear seating area. According to police there was the odor of alcohol on her breath. Marcanio was asked to take a breath test, at which point she stuck a penny in her mouth and told police it was a piece of candy (sucking on a penny is known to apparently lower your BAC%). Police made her spit out the penny, but Marcanio said she originally thought it was a piece a candy. A preliminary breath test revealed a 0.16% BAC.
