The officer also noticed a female passenger was waiting in a red, Ford Contour. While on the scene, the officer ran a check of the registration and discovered it was suspended because of canceled insurance. The officer then watched the two men get back in the car, and then subsequently stopped them for the suspended registration.
The driver, Kareem Brown, 26, of Elkins Park, admitted his license was suspended, and said he was driving because the passenger was under the influence of alcohol. When asked why he entered the bank with the other man, he had no legitimate reason for doing so.

The rear passenger was identified as Michael DiFronzo, 47, of Philadelphia, and the driver’s side passenger was Susana Rivera, 35, of Philadelphia. Neither of them could provide a valid identification to the officer.
While speaking with all three occupants, police learned Brown brought Rivera to “meet” DiFronzo and went into the bank with DiFronzo to ensure he got paid for his services, which Brown claimed was driving DiFronzo to the bank. According to the report, DiFronzo admitted that Brown brought Rivera to meet him but he specifically mentioned it was his intent for a sexual encounter with her. It appeared the three of them may have been involved in a possible prostitution act and it was believed Brown was Rivera’s pimp. None of them would specifically admit that information though.
All three were transported to DiFronzo’s residence because he had perishables in his trunk and police allowed him to take them in the house so they wouldn’t spoil. But while conducting a search of the trunk, police found a marijuana grinder and a combination knife/brass knuckles in the trunk. Brown will receive a non-traffic citation for the possession of those materials.
