Rain, Flooding Keeps First Responders Busy
Tuesday's early morning rain caused flooding and rescues.

Tuesday's early morning storm caused flooding throughout Lower MorelandΒ and contributed to a rescue by boat, as well as a hospital visit for evaluation, an official told Patch.
"Nothing serious" came of all the rain and subsequent flooding, according to Rich Worthington, Lower Moreland's Emergency Management deputy coordinator.Β
The fire department escorted an elderly couple from their car by boat, he said. Although there were no injuries as a result of the rescueΒ in the 2600 block of Philmont Avenue, Worthington said one of the people was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
