'Smash And Grab' Thefts Reported At Pennypack Trail Parking Lot

LOWER MORELAND, PA — A "smash and grab" theft has occured in the parking lot of the Pennypack Trail in Lower Moreland, the latest such instance that has police and local residents on alert.

The incident occurred on Monday, March 13, police said this week, at the lot on 1750 Byberry Road, at around 10:45 a.m.

Video surveillance captured a gray Chrysler, possibly a Pacifica, on scene. The license plate's state was not clear enough to be identified.

A purse was stolen as part of the theft.
