'The Commandant's Own' to Perform for Willow Grove 300 Celebration
The U.S. Marine Drum & Bugle Corps and the Upper Moreland High School Jazz Ensemble will perform Tuesday night.

According to event organizer and Willow Grove 300 steering committee member Kip McFatridge, tomorrow evening's performance of the Commandant's Own will mark one of the first times the U.S. Drum and Bugle Corps will appear in this part of the state.Β
He said that it's exciting to have such an esteemed military band perform for the Willow Grove 300 celebration.

According to a release by the U.S. Drum and Bugle Corps, over 90 Marine musicians, dressed in ceremonial red and white uniforms, perform both popular and martial music for hundreds of thousands of spectators a year.
The Drum and Bugle Corps traces its origins to 1934, as part of the United States Marine Band, and it has performed in important ceremonies around the nation's capitol.

Peforming alongside The Commandant's Own will be Corps' silent drill team.
At 6:05 p.m. the Upper Moreland High School Jazz Ensemble will get the event started with a performance of its own.
Stadium seating will be provided, but grass spaces will also be available.Β
