Wachovia Bank Back Open For Business One Day After Robbery
The County Line Road branch re-opens Wednesday after man passed a note to teller Tuesday

One day after an , the in the Marketplace at Huntingdon Valley is back open for business.
A person walked into the Wachovia Bank, 2090 County Line Road, and Tuesday and presented a teller with a note demanding cash out of the register. After leaving the bank, police pursued suspect in a car heading towards Philadelphia.
Nobody was hurt or injured during the ordeal as the bank closed down shortly after the incident.

βThere was a robbery yesterday,β said Barbara Nate, communications spokeswoman for Wachovia Bank. βIt was a note-passer, probably around 2 or 3 in the afternoon. There was no weapon; our staff and customers were fine.β
As police pursued the suspect, they found his car off Bustleton Ave., but the perp fled on foot. This investigation is still ongoing and the robber has not been caught.

βTypically we close to allow the police, in this case the police and the FBI, to do a thorough investigation and talk with our staff so it was closed,β Nate said. βAnd then it was opened normally for business this morning.β
Β As far as βnote-passingβ is concerned, Nate said the bankβs primary concern is safety, and not the amount of money the suspect walked out of the branch with.
βSafety is our first concern, so yes,β Nate said. βWe typically donβt talk about our security precautions, because they arenβt too secure if they appear in the newspaper, but that is something that is of the highest priority in the business we are in.β
