Wawa Land Development Will Be Hot Topic at Meeting

The construction at Red Lion Rd. and Philmont Ave. will be the first item on the agenda at Wednesday night's Board of Commissioners meeting.

After hearing a traffic study regarding the new Wawa at last week's board of commissioners business meeting, the land development at Red Lion Rd. & Philmont Ave. will be discussed at tonight's meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building.

Lower Moreland traffic engineer Joseph DeSantis explained that building the convenient store will account for a 2-percent increase in traffic. A right-hand turn lane from Philmont onto Red Lion could reduce traffic by 20-percent.

Even so, residents are still not pleased with the results. This topic is the first of many to be discussed tonight.
