Whiz Kid: Yana Matkivski

Yana Matkivski is a current 8th grader at Murray Avenue Middle School who also just happens to be the No. 1 ranked rhythmic gymnast in the country on her level. And because of her efforts she is now at Level 10, the highest in the competitive sport.

Last year she captured the title at the Junior Olympics and is part of the Youth Elite Squad, a prestigious collection of only 20 other gymnasts from all across the country. She was the only one from the Philadelphia Rhythymic Academy in the group.
