SOUTHAMPTON, PA - A New Jersey man who is accused of committing multiple burglaries around Bucks County and claimed he was a plumber to gain access to homes has been nabbed, police said.

Lawrence Bimbo, 28, of Cherry Hill was arrested Aug. 21 in Bensalem after allegedly committing a similar incident, Lower Southampton Township police said. He was charged with one count of burglary.

He was also identified as the burglar that entered a home on Clover Lane in Southampton in late July, police said. Bimbo entered the residence through an unlocked door and walked inside the house even after being confronted by the homeowner, police said.

The New Jersey man reportedly claimed he was a plumber and was "checking the pipes" before walking out of the house and disappearing across the street, police said.

Bimbo was sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility where he is awaiting a court appearance.
