Brownsville Road Closed For Downed Power Lines
Brownsville Road remains closed because of the weather Thursday, which also caused a house fire, fire officials said.

LOWER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —Downed power lines from high winds shut down Brownsville Road and caused a house fire, officials said.
The road remains closed between Bristol Road and Neshaminy Creek as of early Friday morning.
The Lower Southampton Fire Department No. 1 said its crews spent over five hours Thursday afternoon handling six fire calls ranging from alarm systems, trees taking down power lines, and shutting down Brownsville Road to a house fire.

Fire Police were out in the cold and wind all day handling traffic control.
The fire department thanked Feasterville Fire Company Battalion Chief Robert Rudolph Jr. for having a stand-by crew at their station covering the township.

The Lower Southampton Police Department and Lower Southampton Township officials helped with the closing of Brownsville Road.
The fire department also thanked Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company and Bucks County Fire Marshal's Office for their assistance for the house fire.
