East Whiteland Names New Township Manager

John Nagel will be sworn in as manager for East Whiteland Township at the April 8 Board of Supervisors meeting.

East Whiteland Township Supervisors have agreed to hire John B. Nagel as the new manager of the township, replacing the retiring Terry Woodman who held the position since 2001.

“We are very pleased and excited to have John join our organization,” said Bill Holmes, chairman of the East Whiteland Township Board of Supervisors. “East Whiteland is a vibrant, dynamic community and we believe our efforts have resulted in our selection in the best possible candidate to lead the township.”

Nagel previously served as director of finance for Whitpain Township in Montgomery County, director of administrative services for Reading and various other positions over the past 26 years of service in local government.

“I am confident that working with our elected officials and dedicated employees, we can achieve our true potential,” said Nagel. “It is an honor to succeed Terry Woodman as township manager.”

Nagel will be sworn in at the Board of Supervisor’s April 8th meeting.
