Flag Art Arrives In Malvern Tech Company Ahead Of July 4th Celebration

The flag was created by Hallie Hart, a New York artist, as a symbol of hope during divided times and the Covid-19 pandemic.

MALVERN, PA —The tech company, Rajant, unveiled a new American flag art piece, “Ben Franklin,” to recognize the sacrifices of those who served our nation.

The flag, which is displayed in Rajant's corporate headquarters in Malvern, was unveiled just before our nation celebrates Independence Day, Tuesday, July 4.

“Ben Franklin” is one of thirteen abstract renditions of the American flag by artist Hallie Hart as part of her decentralized, online exclusive exhibition, “The Journey to Unity.”

Hart created flags as a symbol of hope during the coronavirus pandemic and the divisive times.

An estimated 200 employees attended a company meeting when the flag was unveiled at Rajant’s campus, 200 Chesterfield Parkway.

During the meeting, a toast was made to celebrate 20 years of manufacturing technology for the U.S. military.

“This was a great event for camaraderie and exploring novel uses of commercial technology in a military network,” said Mike Van Rassen, president of military and government markets.

The thirteen flags in Hart’s exhibition—including “Benjamin Franklin” —are all unique.

They tie back to her original piece in the series, “1812.”

The message is that there is a flag for everyone that showcases and honors our individuality but also reminds us that we are part of a larger community, a family of Americans.

Rajant has a history of philanthropic contributions in America and worldwide.

The company has given back to dozens of organizations with in-kind services or charitable donations, including Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, UNICEF, Shaping our Appalachian Region,.
