Four Great Valley High School Seniors Earn Merit Scholarships

There were 2,600 winners of college-sponsored scholarshipwere selected by the colleges they students are attending.

MALVERN, PA —Four Great Valley High School seniors were awarded college-sponsored national merit scholarships.

  • Jay S. Jagani earned a scholarship to Purdue University,West Lafayette, Ind.. campus, where he plans to study aerospace engineering
  • Brennan M. James earned a national merit to Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, where he plans to study medicine.
  • Leon J. Li also earned a scholarship to Purdue University, where he plans to study aerospace engineering.
  • Justenn Wang earned a national merit scholarship to University of Maryland, where he plans to study computer science.

National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced over 2,600 winners of National Merit Scholarships financed by U.S. colleges and universities.

Sponsor colleges and universities include 82 private and 73 public institutions located in 42 states and the District of Columbia.

Officials of each sponsor college selected their scholarship winners from among the finalists in the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program who plan to attend their institution.

These awards provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution financing the scholarship.
