Great Valley School District Pushes Last Day of School
Too many snow days during the winter forced the district to postpone the start of summer vacation a few days.
Students in the Great Valley School District hopefully made the most of the unexpected days off during a snow-filled winter, because they are going to pay for them in June.
Officials in the school district have posted a notice on its website that the last day of school will now be Friday, June 19, pushed back from the original last day on Tuesday, June 16.
According to a school district spokesperson, the three extra days reached the limit available to the district. If any more snow days were used, the balance would have been taken from the current spring break.
