Historical Photos Location Revealed
The first photo was of Chester County Academy, located on Route 30.
Well, was a good one, and we had a lot of great responses. The first building pictured in last week's post was Chester County Academy, which still stands next to the dealership, located on Lancaster Avenue between Sproul Road (Route 352) and Planebrook Road.
The second building was Frazer School, which stood at 477 Lancaster Ave. before it was demolished in 1988.
The story behind the two buildings was explained in a historical narrative sent in an email by Tim Caban, of the East Whiteland Historical Commission:

In 1811, The Pennsylvania State Legislature apportioned $2,000 for the construction of a school in East Whiteland Township. The Chester County Academy was completed in late [1812] and received its first students in May 1813. It operated as a "flourishing classical school" until around 1865 when the building was conveyed to the township school district.
By 1893, plans were being made to sell the old academy and build a new schoolhouse. In 1905, the academy was moved "several feet" north of its original site to make way for construction of the Frazer School -- a 55' x 32' building of pointed stone. (The Frazer School was demolished in 1988) The Chester County Academy has been used for residential and/or commercial purposes for a number of decades.

Though there were many correct guesses, two commenters deserve the most recognition.
was the first to answer, and gave the correct area:
The current site of Jeff D'Ambrosio on Route 30 in Frazer
was more precise and refined his answer in a follow-up post:
The first is the Jeff D'Ambrosio car dealership.
The second looks like the school that used to be there in the 1930's timeframe.
I see on a1912 map that the Chester County Academy and Frazer School were on that spot.
, and also answered correctly.
