Malvern Bus Driver Charged for Leaving Girl in Van for Six Hours
The driver faces misdemeanor charges for allegedly leaving a 7-year-old girl in the van for an entire school day.

Charges of child endangerment have been filed against a Malvern bus driver accused of leaving a 7-year-old girl in his van for six hours, according to Philly.com.
Kennett Square police arrested Iver Rosenlund Jr., 66, of the 1400 block of Raintree Lane, on Thursday and charged him with two misdemeanors, endangering the welfare of children and recklessly endangering another person.
According to reports, Rosenlund picked up the passenger from her home in West Grove on the morning of March 31 to transport her to the Mary D. Lang Kindergarten Center in Kennett Square. Police say he drove past the school and parked the van at the Krapf Bus Company parking lot, 6 ABC reports. He has since been discharged from the company.

Philly.com says that the school marked the girl absent and at 2:40 p.m. contacted her mother, who told the school that she had boarded the bus. The school called Rosenlund at 2:50 p.m., reports say, who checked the van and found the girl in her seatbelt.
Representatives from Krapf Bus Company told authorities that policy is for drivers to walk to the back of the vehicles before leaving. According to reports, Rosenlund told police that he was drowsy and only looked over his shoulder after parking the van.

Rosenlund’s preliminary hearing is tentatively scheduled for May 12 at 8:30 a.m. before Judge Daniel Maisano.
