Malvern: Perennial Party Planned Mother’s Day Weekend

MALVERN —Looking for a fun activity on Mother’s Day weekend?

Malvern Borough has the perfect family event planned for Saturday afternoon.

The borough is hosting a “Perennial Party,” for people of all ages at 3 p.m. in Samuel & M. Elizabeth Burke Community Park, 26 S. Warren Ave.

A bunny will be giving out eggs to children since the borough’s Easter egg hunt was rained out March 17.

Malvern Library will provide crafts and books for people of all ages. The event is hosting by the borough’s Parks and Recreation Committee.

Free plants will be given out to visitors who have a coupon, which is available on the borough’s spring newsletter available here.

The 1.4-acre park has playground equipment, a gazebo and is a short walk to the Paoli Battlefield Historical Park, Monument and Wayne avenues.

The Paoli Battlefield park commemorates the Paoli Massacre of Sept. 20 1777, when 53 Patriot soldiers were killed in a surprise attack by the Brittish soldiers. More information about the park is available here.
