Malvern Public Safety Day Postponed

The annual event was originally scheduled for May 19, but firehouse expansion will not be done in time.

If you recently marked Saturday, May 19, on your calendar as Malvern Borough's Public Safety Day, you can cross it out. The event has been postponed. No new date has been announced, but organizers say it will likely be held in September.

The reason for the change is that headquarters, where the event is held each year, is expected to still be undergoing expansion work. A letter that went out from the police department gave an overview of the event:

As in the past, the Malvern Police, along with the Malvern Fire Department, are planning an afternoon where the citizens of the Malvern area can meet with local, state and emergency responders in a non-emergency setting[.]
