October Health Inspection Reports For Malvern ZIP code

MALVERN, PA — Health inspectors paid visits to numerous establishments in the Malvern area in October.

Inspectors found some establishments to be in violation of health codes set by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.

• Sodexo St. Gobain, North American, 20 Moores Road, Malvern: 3 violations on Oct. 6: Debris and clean grease under griddle, replace grout; and change batteries at paper towel dispensers.
• Chipotle Mexican Grill, 5 National Ave., Malvern: 3 violations on Oct. 17; sanitizer dispensers not refilled, soda machine not clean, and Dumpster dirty.
• Homewood Suites, 12 E. Swedesford Road: 7 violations on Oct. 17: employee beverages in the refrigerator, cheese sticks not refrigerated, ice machine with residue, ice build up in freezer, no certified food manager.
• El Charro Negro, LLC , 524 Lancaster Ave., four violations on Oct. 12: employees not washing hands, knives stored on table edges not easily cleaned.
• Low-Cost Sal Steaks & Taps, 189 Pennsylvania Ave., three violations on Oct. 10: Lights not shielded, tents open; and no information on a truck.
• Godavari, Exton, 7 violations Oct. 26; knife not sanitized, no thermometer in the prep area, spice racks not working, grease on the grill, no drain on prep sink:
• Malvern Treatment Center, 940 King St., 9 violations on Oct. 19: nonfood surfaces not clean, gap between floor and wall, walk-in cooler shelf broker, chlorine sanitizer residue on dishwasher, using single-use gloves without wash, broken door, ceiling tiles stained.
• Layman’s Retreat League, 313 S. Warren Ave., Oct. 6, 4 violations: no sink stoppers, non-food surfaces not clean, ceiling falling apart.
