PHOTOS: Wolf Sworn In As Pennsylvania's 47th Governor
Earlier in the day, Michael J. Stack III was sworn in as the commonwealth's lieutenant governor.
Tom Wolf on Tuesday, Jan. 20, was sworn in as the 47th governor of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Wolf took the oath of office on a mid-19th century family Bible, the Governor’s Office said, and was sworn in by Judge Penny Blackwell.
Wolf’s inauguration ceremony included a speech by former Gov. Ed Rendell; an essay reading by Sydney Heilig, and musical performances by The Renaissance City Choir, Northeastern Marching Band and the Chester Children’s Chorus.
Earlier in the day, Michael J. Stack III was sworn in as the commonwealth’s lieutenant governor. Administering the oath of office to Stack was his mother, retired Philadelphia municipal judge Felice Stack.
