Warren Avenue Opening Back Up: We'll have to check on this, but here's the deal: on August 1, the borough posted an announcement on its website that Warren Avenue between Spring and Old Lancaster roads would be closed for two weeks for paving. The closing was scheduled to run for two weeks starting on August 5, which means the road should be open to traffic sometime this week. We will check back and let you know.

Planning for Malvern's Future: The borough planning committee will hold its monthly meeting at the borough hall from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 15.

Catch an Outdoor Movie: The borough is hosting a movie screening in Burke Park on Friday, August 16. The event begins at 7 p.m., with the movie to begin running at dusk (which, by this editor's unofficial metric, is sometime after 8 p.m. since the summer is winding down).

Pig Roast: The Malvern Fire Company is hosting its first ever pig roast on Saturday, August 17. $12 will buy you roasted pork, baked beans, close slaw, a roll, dessert and a drink. Get more on the even here.
