West Chester University Student Arrested for Alleged Frat House Rape

The victim reported the assault to West Chester Borough police last weekend.

A West Chester University student faces multiple felony counts related to an alleged sexual assault at an off-campus fraternity house last weekend, NBC 10 reports.

Mauricio Sanjuan-Martinez, 19, of Gettysburg, has been charged with seven felonies, including sexual assault, aggravated assault and rape of an unconscious victim, according to court records.

West Chester Borough police told reporters that the incident occurred during a party last Friday at the Kappa Delta Rho fraternity house, according to the Daily Local News.

Sanjuan-Martinez was arraigned Thursday afternoon before Judge Gwenn Knapp. He has been remanded to Chester County Prison, unable to post $25,000 bail. His preliminary hearing before Judge Knapp is tentatively scheduled for April 16.
