Amazon Fresh Store Now Open In Broomall

BROOMALL, PA — Amazon Fresh has now opened the doors at its newest store in Broomall.

The new store is officially open for business at 2924 Springfield Road in Broomall.

This is the second Amazon Fresh store in Pennsylvania, but the first in the area to offer "Just Walk Out Shopping."

Just Walk Out Shopping allows customers to skip the checkout line.

This is made possible by a combination of computer vision, sensor fusion, and deep learning, and adds convenience to customers’ grocery shopping experience by giving them the option to come in, pick up what they want, and skip the checkout when they’re done.

Anyone shopping at the new Amazon Fresh store can take advantage of the technology, which connects to customers’ Amazon account or credit card.

Customers are prompted at the store’s entry gates to choose if they want to use Just Walk Out shopping or the traditional checkout lanes.

Customers who opt for Just Walk Out shopping can enter the store in three ways: They can scan the QR code in their Amazon app, use Amazon One to scan their palm, or insert a credit or debit card linked to their Amazon account. Each option will open the Just Walk Out gates.

The store is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Items available include produce, meat and seafood, as well as a range of deliciously-prepared foods made fresh in store every day — from fresh-baked bread and made-to-order pizzas to rotisserie chickens and hot sandwiches.

The 40,000 square-foot store offers 365 by Whole Foods Market organics, plus national brands like Coca-Cola and Kraft; local brands such as La Colombe, Unique Pretzels, and Troegs Brewery; and Amazon-exclusive brands like Aplenty and Fresh, including our Fresh Plant-Based products.

To celebrate the Broomall store’s grand opening, we’re hosting exciting festivities all weekend long.

There will be giveaways, special discounts, and free samples of Aplenty snacks, Amazon Kitchen smoothies, mac and cheese, and Allegro coffee, a scavenger hunt for kids throughout the store, and exclusive discounts for Prime members who can save up to 20 percent on select everyday essentials in-store.
