Blotter: 2 More Broomall Home Burglaries Reported

BROOMALL–On Jan. 22 at approximately 2 p.m., Marple police responded to the 200 block of Martin’s Run for a reported burglary discovered. Upon arrival, police spoke with the complainant who stated that she was out and arrived home at approximately 12:50 p.m. that day. According to the report, the woman later noticed that a bedspread had been moved as well as her jewelry box and other items. The woman told police her jewelry box had been emptied and her husband was missing a container of quarters used for a weekly poker game. According to the report, the coins totaled to approximately $200-$300. No signs of forced entry were observed, according to the report, and the front door was left unsecured. According to the report, no prints in the snow were also observed. Police were able to speak with a neighbor who had just entered his vehicle in the driveway. Police spoke with the neighbor who told police he did not see anyone or suspicious vehicles in the area.
Home Burglary Reported on Cedar Grove Road
On Jan. 15 at approximately 9:05 p.m., Marple police responded to the 900 block of Cedar Grove Road for a reported burglary. Upon arrival, police spoke with the homeowner who stated she had just arrived home from work and observed a rear door left ajar which had also appeared to be forced in. Police checked the home and the home was clear of any individuals. A further check of the home revealed a forced rear door, an open liquor cabinet in the dining room and an open cabinet in the living room with silverware missing and numerous empty jewelry boxes in the master bedroom along with two missing pillow cases, according to the report.
