Newtown Square Blaze Sends Firefighter To Hospital, Damages Homes: Reports

Two homes in Newtown Square were reportedly damaged by a fire Tuesday afternoon, and one emergency responder was taken to a hospital.

NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA — Firefighters in Delaware County battled a fire that damaged homes and sent one emergency responder to a hospital.

The fire broke out Tuesday afternoon on the 200 block of West Chelsea Circle in Newtown Square, according to NBC10.

At least two homes suffered damage from the fire, which reached three alarms, CBS Philadelphia reports.

Crews had the fire under control by about 1:30 p.m., but one firefighter was taken to a hospital for unknown reasons, according to the Delaware County Daily Times.

There is no word on what caused the fire.
