BROOMALL-NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA — Two runners from Broomall and Newtown Square participated in the 127th Boston Marathon Monday.
Sean Egan, 23, of Broomall, finished the race with an impressive 2:37:39.
He placed 468th overall out of more than 30,000 runners.

Peter Merhige, 25, of Newtown Square, crossed the finish line in 3:08:42.
Overall, Merhige placed 6,108th.

Kenyan runner Evans Chabet won the marathon, with a time of 2:05:54.
Chabet's win in his second consecutive victory in the Boston Marathon, having won in 2022.
