Spread Bagelry Opens Newtown Square Location

NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA — Ellis Preserve in Newtown Square has a new spot for all things bagel, as Spread Bagelry has officially opened its new location there.

This marks the 17th location for the Philadelphia-based company, known for its wood-fired Montreal-style bagels.

Spread Bagelry is open Monday and Tuesday from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Wednesday through Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The evening menu will initially be offered Wednesday through Sunday during extended hours.

Launching Wednesday, Spread's new evening menu will complement Spread’s hallmark wood-fired bagels and La Colombe coffee bar by offering a variety of focaccia sandwiches in Spread’s signature wood-fired oven. All sandwiches can also be ordered as a salad bowl, as well.

Highlights of the evening menu will include:

• The Szchute: Prosciutto, burrata, arugula, pistachio pesto, and honey
• Big Chicken: Marinated fried chicken cutlet, pickled red onions, gem lettuce, pimento cheese
• We Got the Beet: Goat cheese, pistachios, baby arugula, Vin Cotto, pickled red onions
• Fried Eggplant: Eggplant, olive spread, roasted red peppers, baby spinach, garlic aioli
• Flat Iron Steak: Marinated flat iron steak, balsamic caramelized onions, arugula, cherry-fig marmalade, whipped feta

To accompany the fast-casual gourmet sandwiches, Spread Bagelry will offer a variety of dips served with focaccia, options designed for children, as well as a new dessert menu.

Dips will include pimento, loaded whipped ricotta, and whipped feta, while Desserts will include homemade ice cream, affogatos, and fried cinnamon sugar bagel holes.

The Newtown Square location at 102 Squire Drive features seating for 43 guests centered around a wood-fire oven. Outside seating can accommodate 28 people.

Its loyalty program, "Bagel Dough," rewards customers with points that can be redeemed in-store or online, further enhancing the customer experience.
